Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Caretaker/Handyman to undertake a temporary to permanent contract on a part time basis, 20 hours a week. Driving licence essential as is a DBS or willingness to undertake a DBS.

The role will be to oversee and manage a wide range of repairs and general maintenance including grounds maintenance and properties. To ensure that all allocated equipment and materials are stored safely and securely to prevent unauthorised access and potential accidents etc. You will be required to manage your own time efficiently and effectively with knowledge of safe work methods and safety regulations whilst performing duties in line with health and safety requirements and taking remedial action where hazards are identified.

Duties also include performing various garden and grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and planting, the upkeep and general care of the exterior of several properties, carrying out first line basic repairs as required, maintenance of general equipment, ensuring that drains are clean and clearing any blockages as they occur.

General maintenance and minor repair work including joinery, plumbing and painting drawing our client's attention to any many repairs required outside of this remit. Alongside this you will be required to maintain the associated paperwork related to the repairs carried out.
